10. Honda CBR300R
Rs. 2.0 Lakh*
In March 2024, the Honda CBR300R is anticipated to be on sale in India, with a projected price tag of between ₹ 2,00,000 and ₹ 2,29,999. Similar bikes like the CBR300R are currently offered by Keeway K300 R, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, and KTM RC 200. The October 2024 introduction of the OLA Diamondhead in India is another motorcycle that resembles the CBR300R.
A larger displacement variant of the Honda CBR250R is the CBR300R. As a reaction to the CBR250R, Kawasaki introduced the Ninja 300, and everyone and their uncle increased their displacement game. Following suit were Yamaha (320cc, two cylinders), KTM (373cc, one cylinder), and most recently, Kawasaki (400cc, two cylinders). What the CBR250R has to offer is improved upon by the CBR300R. 30bhp and 27Nm are produced by a single-cylinder liquid-cooled 286cc motor, which is a respectable boost over the CBR250R’s output. Indeed, it shares the same six-speed gearbox as the 250 and is fuel-injected. Discs at both ends handle the braking, and globally, ABS and CBS are standard.
The appearances are where they diverge. The 300 chooses, like the larger Honda vehicles, to have twin headlamps. It most closely mimics the Spiderman-inspired twin headlight look of the CBR1000RR Fireblade. The remaining look is appealing but conventionally conservative Honda design. When the CBR300R enters the Indian market, it will take the place of the CBR250R and go up against the Benelli 302R, Yamaha YZF-R3, Kawasaki Ninja 300, and KTM RC390. That being said, we do not anticipate it being here anytime soon.
